Programme Duration: 8 Days  (There will be  2 lecture sessions  of  90 minutes  duration each day excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays).
Who can Attend:
  1. Faculty members in Central, State, Deemed to be Universities, Private Universities, Institutions of National Importance, Colleges and other HEIs.
  2. Faculty members from HEIs under various Professional Councils (AICTE, NMC, BCI, INC, PCI, ICAR etc.)
  3. Contractual, Ad-hoc, Guest faculty Teachers, Tutors and Demonstrators in HEIs, wherever applicable.
  4. Research Scholars & Research Associates at the Ph.D. or post-doctoral level in HEIs.
Requirements for obtaining certificate:

Certificate of participation will be issued only to participants who have:

  1. Registered in the MMC Portal and applied for the NEP Theme Training programme.
  2. Attended all the sessions (participants whose attendance is less than 180 minutes per day will have to repeat the missing sessions in the next programme).
  3. Completed the MCQ Tests [Assessment and Evaluation Parameters: 2 tests of MCQ (40 + 40 marks) overall response (20 marks)]
  4. Submitted the Feedback form.
  5. Uploaded the required documents.

Eligibility Criteria:
  1. The Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) is designed for faculty members in Central, State, Deemed to be Universities, Private Universities, Institutions of National Importance, Colleges and other HEIs. It familiarizes them with curriculum development, teaching-learning methodologies, assessment and evaluation techniques, ICT-enabled teaching-learning, and university rules and regulations etc. For newly appointed teachers, the Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) is mandatory to be completed within one year of appointment. [Reference: MMTTP Guidelines p.9, sec.B]
  2. Participants (offline participants) may be drawn from HEIs located in nearby areas. This will obviate the travelling long distance and resultant expenditure. [Reference: MMTTP Guidelines p.24, sec.8(iii)]
*For Offline participants:
  1. Offline participants will have to attend the programme in person at MMTTC, NEHU campus, Shillong.
  2. Hospitality for Participants: Rs.500/ per working day per participant will be paid to the MMTTC for providing hospitality (includes boarding, tea and snacks, and working lunch) and there is no reimbursement of hospitality expenses to participants.
  3. TA/DA: TA/DA will be borne by participants/sponsoring HEI only.
  4. Guest House: Accommodation (dormitory type) will be provided on first-come first-served basis in the UGC-MMTTC Guest House @ Rs.250/- per bed per night (excluding food & laundry). It is mandatory to reserve accommodation in advance.
  5. Food: Participants will have to cater to their own needs regarding breakfast/lunch/dinner, since MMTTC Guest House does not have regular mess facility. However, there are plenty of restaurants, canteens, local dhabas /tea stalls within and outside NEHU Campus where food is easily available.

  1. Faculty members working in universities and colleges that are included under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. The teachers of colleges that do not yet come within the purview of Section 2(f), but have been affiliated to a university for at least three years, will be permitted to participate in the courses. These conditions are applicable only for Residential Training Programmes/Courses. [Reference: MMTTP Guidelines p.10, sec.(i)]
  2. For the Refresher course, participation in the FIP is a prerequisite for admission. The teacher may opt for a refresher course after a one-year gap following FIP. For residential RCs, there should be a minimum gap of one year between two refresher courses, though it may be relaxed if an adequate number of participants are not available, or it is essential for the teacher to fulfill eligibility conditions for career advancement as prescribed by UGC from time-to-time. [Reference: MMTTP Guidelines p.11, sec.(ii)]
